Partners and associates got a first-hand view of the latest wide and grand format color technologies, to include the WideTEK 25-600 flatbed scanner, and the SMA e-Document Map Master A0 flatbed scanner, which utilizes the Image Access Scan2Net software and Batch Scan Wizard utility as well as the Image Access RGB cameras.  SMA e-Document also became the newest ReproMAX vendor member, and Peggy Zilian of SMA made the trip from Germany for the event, in attendance with Aaron Burkel of Analogue Imaging, SMA’s North American distributor.

Steve Andrikut, Image Access North American Sales Director, gave a presentation as a participant of the Color Panel, “The Benefits of Color Flatbed Scanning”, which was well-received by the attendees.

From April 15 – 17, 2013 Image Access participated at the 7^th annual “Digital Library” conference in Demänovská Dolina, Slovakia.

Showing the Bookeye 4 Professional A1 and the Bookeye 4 Kiosk book scanners as well as the WideTEK 25 flatbed scanner, Image Access was able to present conference attendees state of the art digitization and preservation technologies as well as new solutions for scanning and managing images via the Cloud with Scan2Pad.

During the conference, Image Access awarded an iPad to a lucky winner who visited our booth.  The name of the winner was drawn by Mr. Josef Dzivak, Director of the Slovak Chemical Library and the winner was Ms. Sona Hlinkova from the Catholic University of Ruzomberok.  Ms. Hlinkova said it was the first time she’d ever won something.

The previous six conferences were met with a very positive response from the participants. This year’s conference, with 92 participants from 8 countries, was the perfect platform to share the best practices about the global library environment as well as discussing how libraries will evolve in future.

The Mexican Association of Librarians (AMBAC), hosted partners, the library community and those associated with processes and information services to participate in the Mexican Librarianship Conference XLIV from May 1-3, 2013 in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico.

Together with our partner in Mexico, Compucenter de México Image Access exhibited a Bookeye® 4 V2 Kiosk book scanner with our mobile scanning app Scan2Pad® for iPads and Android tablets and smartphones as well as the Bookeye® 3 book scanner.

The theme of the conference was “Libraries and Information: Strategic Priorities”.  Visitors could participate in the academic program, the exhibition and continuing education workshops.  The conference was extremely well attended and visitors who saw the Bookeyes® in action were captivated by the ease of use, image quality and fast scanning speeds.
