From August 18–22, 2025, the international library and archive community gathered for the 89th IFLA World Library and Information Congress at the QAZEXPO Congress Center in Astana, Kazakhstan. Among the exhibitors: Image Access, manufacturer of book scanners and large format scanners for the professional digitization of library and archival collections.
Image Access was especially pleased to once again exhibit at an IFLA conference after last year’s event did not take place. Together with our Kazakh distribution partner GRANDSTOCK LLP, we welcomed visitors at booth A04. This gave the many participants from Central Asia an excellent opportunity to learn more about our scanner solutions.
Our BookTEK® family of overhead book scanners attracted particular attention:
- BookTEK® 5 V3 Archive and the BookTEK® 5 V2 Archive
– a powerful 600 dpi archive scanner with a self-adjusting book cradle - BookTEK® 5 V1A
– an A1+ overhead book scanner designed for large-format digitization projects
Another highlight was the WideTEK® 12 SPECTRUM. This advanced backlight scanner captures images in UV, visible light, and IR, providing exceptional detail and clarity across all spectrums, and accommodating formats up to DIN A3+ (12 x 18 inches).
The IFLA 2025 in Astana was a great success for Image Access: an inspiring event filled with engaging conversations, new contacts, and exciting projects. We sincerely thank everyone who visited us – and we are already looking forward to the next IFLA World Library and Information Congress in South Korea!
