Image Access scanners are not only found in offices, libraries or museums, but also rolled out to customers around the globe. While MFP solutions are delivered with a van in Germany, in Australia and India, the van also serves as a scanning center.
In 2001, Docuvan, our Australian partner, bought a Mercedes 308 Sprinter. This was converted into a mobile scanning facility with a PC and monitor, a Kodak production scanner and the option of connecting external power. The centerpiece is the WideTEK 36ART art scanner, which galleries from Adelaide to Townsville to Melbourne can use to digitize their paintings.
Four A2 Bookeye scanners have recently been installed in the converted van for the CDIT-Centre for Development of Imaging Technology, India. As part of the Kerala Ministry of Science and Technology, CIDT travels to local universities and scans books, documents, etc. as a service provider.
Whether scanning books, or using the large format or art scanners, all three vehicles combine the best image quality, fast scanning speeds and uncomplicated operation.
